There is no difference between permanent makeup and semi-permanent makeup. They are two interchangeable terms to describe the same treatment. PMU or SPMU covers the broad spectrum of treatments carried out via a digital machine, nanoblading or microblading hand tool, for example brows, eyes, lips, areola and scalp.

What is Micropigmentation?

Micropigmentation is one of the non-invasive permanent makeup techniques that can be applied to enhance the eyebrows, eyelashes, eyelids for eyeliner and lips (correction of colour).
Micropigmentation introduces pigments into the skin through tiny needles and is applied by a machine.Micropigmentation requires finer skills and is more versatile and longer-lasting than micro-blading.

Nanoblading is a permanent makeup technique used to shape and define eyebrows and considered a more precise and refined procedure. Nanoblading uses extremely fine micro-needles, allowing for natural and sharp lines. The finer strokes create a look that closely mimics natural eyebrow hairs. The technique enables detailed and natural designs tailored to the individual’s eyebrow structure.

A semi-permanent technique in which pigment is scraped into the skin with thin, short hair-like strokes using a hand tool with a blade of small needles to improve the appearance of the eyebrows.

The two techniques can be applied together in the same process.

My permanent make up practitioner certificate (Level 4) and treatment area conforming to all necessary standards are approved by Elmbridge Borough Council and I have licenses. The pigments I used in semi-permanent make up are dermatologically tested and plant-based from the highest quality brands. The pigments used are FDA-approved. Permanent make up usually lasts between 2-5 years (it depends on the skin type), and stays on all day and all night. Whether you desire lip blush, eyeliner or eyebrows, I will create lasting enhancements that complement your features.

The eyebrow shape suitable for your face type is determined by measuring and treatment is started. A local anaesthetic is applied before treatment.
